As we are instructed in Ephesians Chapter 6, stand the ground against the powers of the enemy, and put on the whole armour of God. Christians in the South West will meet together for the 5th consecutive year as Halloween is taking place, and Brexit is being decided, to pray and worship and make a stand against all the negative things that evening represents. With our good friend Revd Steve Wild we invite every one who is available to join us on this very important evening. Church leaders and everyone are invited to this joint Cornwall Worship – Cornwall Prayer Initiative – Cornwall Churches Together event. We strive to work together in Unity in the South West.

Russell Blacker writes: We have a concert coming up of really attractive, tuneful, and rarely-heard British music from the late C18th (see poster). Most of it has been edited from manuscript so you will be hearing its first performances in modern times! The players have greatly enjoyed discovering this music and we think you will too.
We’re including some popular songs from the period to offset the instrumental numbers which include a dazzling Violin Concerto, and a beautiful concerto for Clarinet packed full of Scottish folk songs.
The concert is at St Mary’s Penzance – on Sept 14th – at an earlier time of 7pm so everyone can get back home in good time. Raising funds for the support of persecuted Christians.
