November 24, 2020 | 10:00 am 3:30 pm

A day with Sam Wells and guests to explore theology and ways of being church engaging HeartEdge approaches and Celtic spirituality.

About this Event

Join Sam Wells, Bishop Hugh Nelson, Michelle Brown and guests for an ecumencal day at St Mary’s, Penzance, via Zoom. We’ll look at the HeartEdge 4Cs and how they work across Cornwall – including:

  • Congregation: Liturgy, worship & congregations.
  • Commerce: Being entrepreneurial, rethinking church buildings, growing income via enterprise.
  • Compassion: Growing participation to address social need.
  • Culture: Art, music & ideas connecting with communities

How are we being church in a global pandemic? What is the emerging ‘new normal’ in Cornwall and what could church look like emerging into this? How are ancient ideas of Celtic spirituality and new approaches like HeartEdge – offering helpful ways to reimagine church?

A day relevant for rural, coastal and towns and village church communities.
