This post will support the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) in delivering a service across the diocese, as part of the Safeguarding Team.

We are looking for someone who is keen to use his or her skills, knowledge and experience in safeguarding, within this unique setting. Good communication skills and approachability are a must.

Based in Truro, the ADSA will be a key member of our small safeguarding team; promoting best practice in all matters relating to safeguarding in the diocese. This will include supporting parishes, clergy, and cathedral staff. The ADSA will have a portfolio of casework and will support the delivery of the safeguarding training framework.

This is an interesting opportunity for the right person who has a social work, police, health or other relevant safeguarding background, to grow and develop in a complex, challenging and undoubtedly rewarding work environment.

We are looking to appoint a Generous Giving Adviser to implement our generous giving strategy in alignment with the National Giving Strategy. This aims to broaden the understanding of and engagement with stewardship across the diocese and help build a thriving and generous church.

The majority of the role will be about getting out and meeting with Parochial Church Councils (PCC’s), treasurers, clergy and congregations to encourage and enable them to identify and then find the resources, both financial and non-financial, necessary to fulfil their mission. The role involves the continuing promotion and take up of the national Parish Giving Scheme.

Vacancy : Kidz Klub Volunteers, Falmouth

It is with great delight that I write to inform you that our ‘Kidz Klub’ is growing!

You may remember that in partnership with Alan Offord, The Salvation Army church became the venue for the Wednesday after school ‘Kidz Klub’.  Since Alan’s passing, we have solely taken on this responsibility and we are growing!

Due to the numbers of children, ratios and safeguarding requirements, we are desperate for some more volunteers.

We would really appreciate it if you would make this known to your congregations and ask them to pray as to whether they feel this is something they could commit to.


The various roles needed are:

Walking bus                – required 3pm at Falmouth Primary School, walk down to the church until approx 3:40pm

Kitchen                         – required at 3pm to prepare snacks, wash up, wash tables until approx 5:15pm (you do not need to have a passion for children’s work to do this role)

Team                         – join in with Kidz Klub – storytime, songs, craft, games etc – required at 3:00pm until 5:15pm


Although we organise a walking bus from Falmouth Primary school, we do receive children from 3 different schools.  We are so blessed and privileged to be able to speak Jesus into the lives of these young people, We would love for this ministry to continue and would be so very grateful to anyone who would be willing to join our team.  You do not need to commit each week, we have a rota and even if someone can only commit once a month, we would welcome them.

If you have anyone interested, please ask them to make contact with me (see numbers below).  We will require a completed application form, DBS check and we will deliver our 2 hour safeguarding training.

Please pray for this ministry, the impact we are having on the local community and that God will raise up volunteers to enable this to continue.

Strong background in administration

You will have a strong background in administration, so you can look after areas such as event preparation, managing meetings, diaries and records. You will be a self-starter who can take the initiative; have excellent organisational skills; and want a role where you will be embedded in a friendly and supportive team and workplace. We are looking for a great communicator with excellent customer service skills; someone who can manage a range of competing priorities successfully; and in whom colleagues will have confidence that they will get the job done.

We are looking for a variety of creative, dedicated volunteers to join our team for Creation Fest 2020 to step into a number of key roles. Ideally, volunteers would be:

  • Passionate about the Gospel and the good news it brings to our lives
  • Willing to commute to the Creation Fest offices in Wadebridge one day each week
  • Comfortable working in a digital environment with email, OneDrive, and other systems to communicate clearly

Youth and Children Lead
​Our provision for youth and children at Creation Fest includes coordinating details for six venues and overseeing content for our 0-18 year olds. This individual must be passionate about resourcing children, young people and families, have keen attention to detail and a good understanding of safeguarding policies.

​Events Coordinator
Our events coordinator takes the lead on a variety of events that Creation Fest invests in throughout the year, including: Royal Cornwall Show, Thy Kingdom Come, Worship Tour, and other outreach events or opportunities. 

​Systems Lead
Our systems lead will work with OneDrive, Basecamp, Brushfire, MailChimp, Xero and any other integrated systems required to execute the 2020 event and year-round operations. 

Volunteer Coordinator
Our volunteer coordinator assists with recruiting our 500+ volunteers, oversees reference requests, and manages team placements. They work closely with our team leaders and lead the volunteer training during the week of Creation Fest. 

​Guest Coordinator
​​Our guest coordinator works closely with our Mission and Ministry Lead to coordinate the booking, travel and scheduling details for over 150 guests of Creation Fest, including bands, speakers, skaters, and any other communicators. 

Social Media Coordinator
​​Our social media coordinator works closely with our Media Lead to develop key strategies for engaging with people on our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube channels with an emphasis on promoting Creation Fest and celebrating the good news of the God who loves us through social media.
