Our theme for 2023 reflects the deepening cost of living crisis and the urgent need for local groups, projects and churches in Cornwall to grow in strength and financial stability as they support the growing needs of their local community.
A new community starting on 24th January for men who are looking for a community within which to get their life โre-bootedโ. Run by guys that have taken knocks and understand the rough and tumble of life; 2-3pm on alternate Tuesdays.
An exhibition featuring artists who have lived experience of abuse including nine artworks and a musical piece by two artists Sarah Trouton and David Creese.
A day of worship and seeking God’s presence and heart. Led by a variety of local worship leaders throughout the day. All are welcome and you can worship for as little or as long a you want.
an opportunity to meet with other people passionate about discipling children, young people and families. Whether you are a paid employee or an occasional volunteer, you are very welcome.
A training day for those that work in or are interested in developing the work in their local schools (children/families/youth leaders, Open the Book Teams/clergy etc).
We will look at some of the major players in this story and think about the significance of their activity and what it might say aboutย the church in our own day.
Community groups who have, in the past, suffered persecution and can face persecution today will be in the cathedral to talkย with visitors about their experiences and the need for a wider acceptance of diversity in civilized communities
Food for Thought looks at the undeniable impacts of modern animal agriculture as well as some of the incredible Cornish initiatives underway to mitigate them โ and also the role that regenerative farming could play in actually combating climate change while producing nutritious food.
