The Prayer Book Rebellion – Bodmin Old Cornwall Society in conjunction with St Petroc’s Church will be holding a memorial service on Saturday 17th August at 3 pm. This service is to remember the Rebellion which ended in 1549 with the massacre of the 900 at Stampford Courtney, Devon on 17th August. Over 5500 Cornishmen lost their lives in the Rebellion.
