International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church 2023 online service : 5 Nov, ONLINE

November 5, 2023 | 7:30 pm 8:30 pm
online

Since the mid-1990s IDOP has been marked, in November, by Christians around the world as a way of remembering the plight of, and focusing prayer on, the needs of persecuted Christians.

In recent years Release International has joined with other agencies in the UK to produce an online presentation. This year’s IDOP event will be streamed on the evening of Sunday, November 5 (7.30pm). The Evangelical Alliance will again be hosting the event, which in addition to Release International’s will include contributions from Open Doors and CSW. Details on how to register to watch are available here.

You are invited to join an evening of prayer to mark the Intentional Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

We’ll be joining with friends from Open Doors, CSW and Release International to share stories from Nigeria, Nicaragua and imprisoned believers – and you’ll have the opportunity to pray together for Christians who courageously risk everything to follow Jesus

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed – 2 Corinthians 4:8 & 9

We also want to encourage you to mark IDOP in your own local church by organising a special focus during one of your Sunday services in November (or at any time more convenient to your diary). We have compiled these resources highlighting prisoners of faith to help you do this.
