Crucible Hybrid Model

To teach these modules in the South West Baptist Association training room in Exeter, which has the facilities to livestream the sessions, so that they are accessible anywhere via Zoom. Trainers can either teach there in person or via Zoom.

People can participate in any of three ways: (a) In person in Exeter, (b) Online as individuals, (c) Together with others in a local hub

Crucible Ethos

1. Crucible has much in common with other training programmes, but we are committed to certain values and practices. Crucible has developed out of friendships and this has affected its ethos – relaxed and supportive, different voices without competition.

2. Crucible operates on the assumption that all participants will bring with them insights and resources that will enrich the learning experience of all. Some will have more experience than others, but the insights of all are welcomed and valued.

3. Crucible is a safe place to ask questions – especially those questions that participants feel unable to ask elsewhere – and different views are respected. No question is off limits and all ideas can be explored without fear or pressure to conform.

4. There is no party line or expectation that everyone will agree on everything or leave with all questions answered. In a time of culture shift, there are more questions than answers.
