Roger Mills, who has edited the CTC infoHub since its inception in July 2019, is standing down as Editor at the end of April 2025, so we are seeking a new Editor along with a new team of local content editors to make the job more sustainable and to broaden our coverage of local events.
The CTC infoHub is the overall name for Churches Together in Cornwall’s network sharing Christian news and events and linking local Christian and community groups around our county. The Hub currently comprises:
- our website (www.ctcinfohub.org)
- a weekly email newsletter CTC Weekly News
- social media
- services to local CT groups as required
We are seeking volunteers with an interest in the work of churches locally and across Cornwall, to share details of what’s going on in their area. The work requires a mix of skills, not all of which have to be found in the same person! and involves:
- Being part of a team monitoring email/social media communications
- Adding entries for news, events and vacancies to our WordPress website, either directly for those with technical interest or via a web form with no technical ability required!
- Publishing CTC Weekly News on a rota basis
We are also seeking a Technical Editor who would:
- Maintain our mailing list
- Maintain and develop our WordPress website and social media tools
- Deal with our hosting company (Fasthosts), paying bills and renewing domain names
- Repairing the website if it goes down
- Provide technical support to CTC Executive as required
The CTC Editor has overall responsibility for the infoHub and reports to the CTC Editorial Board, ensuring compliance with CTC’s Editorial, Data Protection and Privacy Policies, and sharing in the duties above. He/she will be a co-opted member of the CTC Executive and attend its quarterly meetings in Truro.
