Truro Theological Society: Words for a Dying World : 25 May, Truro

Truro Cathedral, St Mary’s St, Truro TR1 2AF

As global climate change deepens its hold on eco-systems, livelihoods and lifestyles worldwide, we reflect theologically on the past (how did we get into this mess?), present (what is happening?) and future (what can we do to make amends?) of the climate crisis.

Published in 2020, Hannah Malcolm’s “Words for a Dying World” explores, through her own reflections and the stories of many others, the reality of what humanity has done to God’s creation and looks forward to the possibilities of hope for the future offered through the lens of the Christian faith. One of her contributors, Elia Maggang, will join with Hannah and Davina Bacon of the Young Christian Climate Network, to lead us in theological reflection around these issues, bringing before us the reality of climate grief and inviting us to consider how the resource of our Christian faith might lead us forward at this time.

The seminar will start at 19:30 with doors open from 19:00 and take place at the Cathedral Restaurant

Entry: £5 on-the-door and includes a glass of wine or soft drink
