This lecture will explore the ways in which ecclesial power plays out in relation to race and human sexuality – building on themes raised in the speaker’s recent work Black, Gay, British, Christian, Queer: The Church and the Famine of Grace.

Fr Jarel Robinson-Brown is a priest in the Diocese of London, visiting Scholar in Contemporary
Spirituality at Sarum College, Salisbury and Co-Chair of the Global LGBT+ Christian Charity OneBodyOneFaith.
His research interests are in patristics, particularly the body, desire, gender and ethnicity in Late Antiquity.
