A unique opportunity to spend time with God through a residential retreat, divided into three stages, each lasting ten days. These three stages of the Spiritual Exercises seek to help each person to know the God of love and compassion more intimately in their own life’s circumstances, to grow in that sense of love, and to see more clearly how to live out that love for God and for others in those same particular circumstances.
The Spiritual Exercises, developed by Ignatius Loyola, stem from his personal journey to deepen his union with God and discern His will. Through journaling his spiritual insights and directing others, Ignatius compiled a structured retreat framework, known as the Spiritual Exercises, which includes prayers, meditations, and reflections. He aimed for these exercises to help individuals conquer self and regulate their lives, ensuring decisions are made without being swayed by unhealthy attachments.
