This is an opportunity to review the present situation in the bi-lateral ecumenical conversations that have taken place between the Roman Catholic Church and the Lutheran and Anglican Churches, and to do so from the comfort of your own home. 
The Conference consists of two parts: 
First, from 1st May 2021 there will be four pre-recorded videos on YouTube for you to view at your leisure.  These videos can be viewed by anyone using a link that will be posted on that day on the ‘Events Page’ of the Society’s website.

  • The Rev Dr Will Adam, Anglican, will reflect from an Anglican viewpoint on recent Anglican-Roman Catholic dialogues;  
  • Bishop Eero Huovinen, Lutheran, will do the same in regard to the Lutheran-Roman Catholic dialogues;  
  • Bishop William Kenney, Roman Catholic, will reflect on the Roman Catholic-Lutheran dialogues; and  
  • Archbishop Bernard Longley, Roman Catholic, will do the same in regard to the Roman Catholic-Anglican dialogues. 

You will be invited to address questions to the panel no later than 14th May, using a link provided when the pre-recorded videos are viewed on YouTube. 
Second, on 21st May, 14.00 – 16.30 London Time, there will be a live session where questions will be addressed, but only people who register will be able to take part (see instructions below). 
Bishop Jana Jeruma-Grinberga will chair the panel discussion.  Members of the panel will include:  

  • Bishop Brian Farrell, Secretary of Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity
  • The Rev Dr Dirk Lange, Assistant General Secretary for Ecumenical Relations, Lutheran World Federation 

Also in attendance will be Archbishop Ian Ernest, Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome, Bishop Michael Ipgrave and the Rev Dr Jaakko Rusama, Anglican and Lutheran Co-Moderators of the Society. 
TO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE it is necessary to send an email to no later than 30th April, the closing date.  You will then receive a link by email allowing you to join the live session on 21st May.
