Join us for a series of online happenings in preparation for Refugee Week 2021

Spread across February and the beginning of March, the Refugee Week ‘Slow Conference’ will feature reflective and practical workshops, opportunities to network and share learning, and all the information you need to get involved in Refugee Week 2021.

We hope the Slow Conference programme will be relevant to anyone interested in arts, culture, education and community initiatives for social change. Whether you’re a Refugee Week veteran or thinking about taking part for the first time, everyone is welcome!

Here are the key dates for your diary – more info to follow:

  • Thursday 4 February, 11am: How to get involved in Refugee Week 2021
  • Thursday 11 March (time tbc): Slow Conference Finale
  • Between these two dates: A series of online workshops, held once a week or more

We also invite you to hold planning meetings in your local area (online or, if possible, offline), which are a great way to build useful partnerships and to amplify your Refugee Week activities. We will be sharing resources and info to help you to plan local meetings at the session on 4 February.

We hope to see you there!

About Refugee Week 2021

Refugee Week is an annual festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees, in which anyone is welcome to hold an event or activity. Refugee Week 2021 is 14-20 June, and the theme is ‘We Cannot Walk Alone’.

We expect (and hope!) that Refugee Week 2021 will involve a mix of both online and offline activities, and will of course say more on this when things become clearer.
