As former group head of sustainability for one of the world’s largest technology companies, Colin spent years helping business leaders understand the importance of balancing people, planet, and profit. Prior to this, his career spanned a diverse range of roles including marketing, HR, business development, and technology.

Colin is passionate about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the vital role of businesses to help achieve the goals . He’s a straight-talking Lancastrian who prides himself on his ability to keep things simple and honest – this can get him into trouble!

Rachel Hartley, Training and Technical Team lead at Slave-Free Alliance

Corporate responsibility and human rights professional with 7 years’ experience in the private sector. Rachel previously worked at Next/Lipsy driving social compliance across the UK, Europe and North Africa and delivering humanitarian projects within the supply chain to ensure workers are respected and protected. Prior to that as Ethical Trade Partner at ASOS, she wrote and published modern slavery statements recognised as industry leading and delivered strategic projects tackling modern slavery and protecting freedom of association in collaboration with brands, NGOs and government agencies.
