Life Beyond Borders Conference and Networking Event : 8 Nov, Liverpool

November 8, 2022

This day-long, free event, will explore the local, national and international implications of borders on communities, including their impact on the most vulnerable in societies, such as refugees.

It will also be a forum that brings together an array of organisations, groups and individuals from across Britain and Ireland who are engaged in asylum and refugee work in some capacity, and will showcase the great work taking place by both Church and secular groups in this area.

The actual day, which will be an ‘in-person’ gathering, will include plenary discussions, workshops that will delve deeper into the main theme, as well as a panel discussion and a ‘question and answers’ session.

The event will also have a clear networking component that will allow delegates to engage with peers from across Britain and Ireland with a similar interest in this topic. A key facet of this will see time set aside in the programme for networking opportunities, information sharing and conversations about collaborative ‘joined up’ working.

There will also be an onsite ‘marketplace’ that will allow organisations to showcase their activities and resources – free of charge.
