Join the special Churches Together webinars on Tuesday 3 December to help you pray, plan and prepare for the 10th anniversary
11 November 2024
Next year marks the tenth anniversary of Thy Kingdom Come, the global ecumenical prayer movement for evangelisation occurring annually from Ascension to Pentecost.
To celebrate this decade of praying together, Thy Kingdom Come has joined with Churches Together in England to host two special online workshops to help churches consider how they might plan, prepare and pray how to participate ecumenically during these 11 days of concentrated prayer from 29 May to 8 June.
The workshops will take place on Tuesday 3 December at 11 am and 7 pm. Click the buttons below to register.
During these sessions you will hear from different contributors sharing best practices, and impactful stories of intentional prayer and ecumenical working, and explore new ideas. The workshops will be facilitated by Rev Canon Jean Kerr and Kemi Bamgbose from the Thy Kingdom Come team and Doral Hayes, Principal Officer for Ecumenical Development and Relations at Churches Together in England.
Register for the 11am workshop
Since Thy Kingdom Come began, tens of millions of Christians, in dozens of denominations, in nearly 90% countries worldwide, have united in prayer so that friends, families and neighbours will come to know the life-transforming love of Jesus Christ. The prayer movement, which initially began as call to prayer from the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York, has grown into a global wave of prayer, with wider ecumenical support including His Holiness Pope Francis and senior church leaders in the UK including CTE Presidents and church leaders within other CTE Member Churches.
Thy Kingdom Come Resources for 2025
New resources to support personal and shared prayer are currently being developed for 2025 when the theme will be The Lords Prayer. The resources will include an ecumenical prayer journal with reflections from Christian leaders across a range of different Christian traditions. Find more information and access to the resources for 2025 on the Thy Kingdom Come website.
