International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church : 6 Nov, ONLINE

November 6, 2022
online

The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church is a well-established event on the Christian calendar for reminding people of the plight of those who suffer for their love of Christ and the gospel. This is an important opportunity to stand with Christians across the world from multiple denominations and organisations to pray with our persecuted brothers and sisters. This year IDOP Sunday is on November 6th.

You can register for this online event here.

There are two ways you can get involved:

First, as we have done in previous years, Release International will be participating in a special online UK prayer event with CSW, the Evangelical Alliance and Open Doors on Sunday, 6th November at 7.30pm. Here you will have the opportunity to hear the latest news and testimonies from Christian survivors of persecution in China, Cuba and Iraq. This is a FREE event but to take part you MUST register at Eventbrite so that you will receive an email with the link to join the event.

Second, we would encourage all our supporters and volunteers to ask their churches to mark the day (or another Sunday in November) in some way, perhaps with a dedicated service or a special time of prayer within a service. To help you with this we have produced a range of online resources including a short video, a PowerPoint presentation, individual testimonies, prayer points, songs and even a sermon outline! You can download them from our website here.

Please join with Christians from across the UK as we come together and pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who suffer persecution, simply for believing and professing Jesus is Lord.

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed” – 2 Corinthians 4:8 & 9
