The Charity Commission’s Faith Outreach Team are delivering this free one-hour webinar in partnership with Churches Together in England and Cytùn on Saturday 23 January from 9.30am – 10.30am
The same event is being repeated on Wednesday 3 February from 11am-12pm.
The webinar will help trustees and managers of church charities to understand their legal responsibilities as charities and how to prevent issues from arising.
This free webinar will provide an overview of what the Charity Commission does, how the Faith Outreach Team can help you and the Commission’s expectations as the regulator of charities in England & Wales, including:
- Trustee duties & risk analysis
- Financial management and reporting in a faith charity context
- Sending money internationally
- Safeguarding in places of worship
Who Should Attend?
The webinar is suitable for trustees and managers of church charities, particularly those with limited experience of their role and charity law.
The webinar will be delivered on Microsoft Teams Live Events. You will be able to watch on the web and join anonymously. Joining instructions, including a guide on how to access the webinar via Microsoft Teams Live Events, will be sent to all registered attendees in advance.
The presentation will be delivered in English but there will be the opportunity to ask questions (via the Q&A chat facility) in Welsh.
