Global Day for Climate Justice : 6 Nov, Truro

November 6, 2021 | 12:00 pm
Hendra Skate Park, 2 St George’s Rd, Truro TR1 3JD

World leaders will meet in Glasgow in November at the global climate talks, COP26. We are organising decentralised mass mobilisations across the world, bringing together movements to build power for system change – from indigenous struggles to trade unions, from racial justice groups to youth strikers.

The decisions made at COP26 will shape how governments respond (or not) to the climate crisis. They will decide who is to be sacrificed, who will escape and who will make a profit. But so far, governments have done too little too late. On the 6th November, we’re joining the COP26 Coalition for the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice. We are bringing together movements to build power for system change – from indigenous movements, to trade unions, from racial justice groups to youth strikers.

We will meet at 12noon at Hendra Skate Park to march at 1pm through Truro as individuals, groups & unions to raise awareness. After the march there will be a chance to hear key speakers on how we as individuals and Cornwall can respond to the #ClimateCrisis, at 3pm at Hendra Skate Park. Join us and let’s make this the biggest climate event that Cornwall has seen.
