Exploring the Way of Life: Prayer and Devotions with George Dow : 5 May, ONLINE

Many spiritual communities have Rules or Ways of Life involving a set of disciplines to assist believers in living out their faith in a deeper and more structured way. The Green Christian Way of Life offers a framework for living more lightly on the earth and for deeper engagement and shared encouragement. It comprises a set of four disciplines: Prayer and Devotions; Living Gently on the Earth; Public Witness; and Encouragement.

The discipline of Prayer and Devotions focuses on a daily practice which may, along with other prayers and reflections, incorporate the Green Christian monthly prayer diary with its daily pointers for prayer, and the Companions’ Prayer of Commitment. Examples of the variety of resources used by Companions will show how they apply this discipline in their daily lives. George will be accompanied in this session by a fellow Companion.

George Dow is Green Christian Co-Chair and the Way of Life Co-ordinator.

George lives in Penzance, Cornwall and, having spent most of his life in London working in HR, is now active in his local church, which is working towards a Green Church Kernow gold award. George also enjoys walking on the Penwith moors, landscape painting and writing poems & songs.
