online

An online training course on county lines aimed at foster parents.

Foster parents, families and carers play a key role in supporting some of the most vulnerable children in our society. County lines drugs gangs operate in all areas of our country. Only with information, awareness and action can we best help our young people, and their peers to avoid becoming involved.

In this county lines training session for foster parents, The Clewer Initiative will provide individuals and families who foster with a chance to learn more about how organised crime gangs work. We will look at how they target and trap young people across the country, the impact it can have on individuals, families and communities, as well as discussing how we can break the cycle of exploitation.

The session will cover; spotting the signs of county lines, adverse childhood experiences and information on how to support victims and potential victims. There will be an opportunity to contribute to discussion about what foster parents can do to help stop young people becoming involved.

Courses will take place online on two dates, please sign up for one of the dates below:

Friday 16th September 10:00-12:00

Friday 18th November 10:00-12:00
