Virtual Taster, Training  and Catch Up now available

In these challenging times we are still here for you and those with sight loss in your congregation!

No face to face meetings, no problem, as we now provide three very different virtual experiences using the Zoom platform.

Firstly, if you are wanting to explore what it means to become a SLFC, the benefits of becoming one and how to go about it. Why not sign up to one of our new monthly Taster Sessions. These sessions will last no more than 30 minutes and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the SLFC team.

Secondly, for those already signed up as a SLFC we can now deliver SLFC Training Workshops virtually and you can invite other people from your church or other churches to join you. We can deliver an interactive, fun and engaging workshop just for you.

Thirdly, also for those signed up – join the SLFC team at our new monthly Catch-up Sessions on Zoom. Meet members of the team and ask any questions you may have, find out the latest tips, resources and advice we have to offer and hear stories from other SLFCs.

To find out when the next session is and to book your place please email slfc@torchtrust.org

Sight loss in the UK is a growing concern

We know that churches want to give everyone the best possible welcome – but it can be hard to work out just how to do that.

People with sight loss can easily feel unable to join in with or attend church, leading to a lack of community support and human connection. Becoming part of Sight Loss Friendly Church means that we can help you give the warmest welcome to people with sight loss, making your church a place where they can thrive.
