For those unable to attend the Supporter Conference in person on 27th September, we’re holding a special virtual version of the event on Wednesday 7th December 2022 at 5.30-6.30pm to celebrate some of the past years achievements in the fight for freedom from slavery. We’ll also talk through some of our upcoming work in the UK, and we’re looking forward to answering your questions.

Jasmine, our CEO, will provide an update on the recent successes accomplished together in this movement. This will be followed by George, from our local partner Tanzania Domestic Worker Coalition, talking about the amazing work empowering and protecting children working as domestic servants in Tanzania.

Rocio, our Business and Human Rights Policy & Research Officer, will then share about the incredible success of campaigning by supporters to end state-imposed forced labour in Uzbekistan.

Next, Lucy our Parliamentary Officer will give a brief overview of proposed new UK laws affecting victims of trafficking and what action supporters can take to ensure the government gives survivors the better protection and care they need.

Following this, there’s a live Q&A session hosted by ITV News Correspondent, Lucy Watson, where we will answer questions from supporters.

The event will close with an exclusive, new performance by the Amies Freedom Choir, which was specially recorded at our recent in-person gathering in London.
