Cornwall’s Easter Bells Ring on Smartphones in 2021

,

The Truro Diocesan Guild of Ringers have made available recordings from the last 30 years for churches to share and use.

Eric Bannister (from St Erme) made these recordings over the last 30 years. During the course of the last year he has edited them down to 1 minute (longer ones are available via his youtube channel). They are also included on every tower’s page of the TDGR (Truro Diocesan Guild of Ringers) website. Eric gave these recordings to the Guild in their entirety – he wants them to be used for whatever purpose possible. Have a go yourself – Truro Cathedral as an example, but just use the search bar to type in any location, scroll down to play the sound bar: https://tdgr.org.uk/tower/central/truro-cathedral/

As ringers we are desperately sad not to be able to ring on Easter Sunday (the second year in a row) and so we thought this an appropriate gift to all those communities in the diocese that are missing the sound of their bells. We hope we can return to ringing them soon in real-life!

The sole object of the TDGR is to serve the Church in the Diocese of Truro.

We have added a guide to the diocesan website here: https://trurodiocese.org.uk/…/03/Easter-Bells-2021.pdf
