Young Cornishwoman Raises Over £1,600 in One Week for The Borgen Project After Local Church Testimony

An inspiring testimony delivered at a local church in Cornwall has sparked an incredible act of generosity, raising over £1,600 in just seven days for The Borgen Project. Chase Bell, moved by the mission of The Borgen Project—a nonprofit dedicated to fighting global poverty—shared her heartfelt story during a recent service at Shekinah Christian Church, Penzance.

Her testimony highlighted the importance of addressing poverty worldwide, showcasing the tangible ways in which small actions can create big change. Motivated by the message, church members and local residents rallied together to contribute to the cause.

“The Borgen Project is about empowering people to tackle poverty globally, and it’s incredible to see how our community has embraced this mission,” said Chase. “The generosity and compassion I’ve witnessed this week have been overwhelming.”

The funds raised will support The Borgen Project’s initiatives, including advocacy for poverty-reduction legislation, funding for global health programs, and education efforts to uplift underserved communities worldwide.

“As a representative of The Borgen Project, I’m constantly amazed by the power of grassroots efforts like this,” said Chase. “This incredible fundraising achievement shows how communities coming together can have a global impact. Every pound raised brings us closer to advocating for policies and programs that lift people out of poverty worldwide. It’s a reminder that individual actions, no matter how small they seem, can create ripples of change that reach far beyond our borders.”

The fundraising effort gained momentum through the church community and social media, demonstrating how local action can contribute to solving global challenges.

As a passionate advocate for The Borgen Project, Chase hopes this success will inspire others to join the movement to end poverty.
