Vacancy: Engagement and Mobilisation Officer – (Public Health) : Closing Date 10 Dec

Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum (CVSF) are looking to recruit a dynamic, influential and experienced voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector Engagement and Mobilisation Officer.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can demonstrate their experience of positively engaging the VCSE sector in improving population health.

You will facilitate a two-way dialogue between the VCSE sector and Public Health so that both partners fully understand what  support is required in ‘at risk’ communities by vulnerable individuals and groups and you will then help to mobilise an appropriate and timely response.   You will be responsible for keeping the VCSE sector abreast of Public Health information and priorities and will mobilise the sector to engage in initiatives, campaigns and interventions etc. You will therefore bring with you an up to date understanding of Public Health policy, legislation, and practice.  Your outstanding interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, persuasiveness and influence will inspire and motivate the VCSE sector to engage in the co-design and co-production of positive health outcomes.

The successful postholder will have a sound understanding of equality and diversity legislation and demonstrable experience of helping vulnerable individuals and groups to overcome barriers to accessing health and care support.

Further information about CVSF, our background and future direction is available in the attached brief, which includes an outline of the skills and experience that we are seeking in our Engagement and Mobilisation Officer as well as details of how to submit an application.

We are extremely excited about the role that CVSF will play in improving outcomes for people and communities across Cornwall and if you offer the skills, experience and enthusiasm needed to help us deliver our future ambitions, we look forward to hearing from you.

For a confidential conversation about the opportunity, please contact our Chief Executive Helen Boardman; ceo@cornwallvsf.org or Trustee Anna Jay; anna@publicleadersappointments.com
