Citadel Cornwall is a new community based, volunteer-led support service designed to help end homelessness and make a real difference to the lives of those who need it most. Our volunteers help individuals emotionally and practically as they settle into a new home with activities such as helping set up utility bills, sourcing furniture, decorating and connecting with the community. Or it can be as simple as having a coffee, providing a listening ear and showing an individual that someone cares. Volunteers can bring their ideas and experience to shape how we make a difference. We offer a variety of opportunities to get involved such as supporting people, fundraising and sourcing donations.
We are currently recruiting volunteers in the Truro, Camborne, Pool and Redruth areas, as well as collecting donations towards the essential items needed when setting up a home. Volunteers are offered training, ongoing supervision and a chance to make a real difference in their communities whilst meeting likeminded, caring people at our regular volunteer events.
