UEA and the Keswick Hall Trust presented an online talk on Christian persecution around the world by The Rt Revd Philip Mounstephen, The Bishop of Truro on March 3. Watch the recording below or here.
According to the latest Open Doors World Watch List (2021) on Religious Persecution, over 340 million Christians around the world are facing high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith. In 2018, Bishop Philip was tasked by the UK Government with investigating the persecution of Christians. His report has been fully accepted and is being implemented by the current government in support of freedom of religion and belief. In this talk, Bishop Philip will discuss his investigation, the difficulties faced by believers in practicing their faith, and the need to unpack the persecution problem.
The talk is a key address in the UEA / Keswick Hall Trust lecture series and is introduced by Professor of Faith and Global Politics Lee Marsden.
