Assisted Dying Bill: How to pray
Pete Greig from 24/7 Prayer summarises some ways you can pray as:
Principle: Pray that society would recognise the inherent dignity and sanctity of human life, valuing every person from beginning to end, and particularly safeguarding the vulnerable and elderly.
Precedent: Pray about the precedent this bill might set, considering how similar legislation has expanded in other countries and led to unforeseen outcomes. Ask for wisdom and foresight for those in decision-making positions.
Palliative Care: Pray for protection over palliative care professionals who serve compassionately in end-of-life care, and for legislation that supports their commitment to preserve and protect life.

A prayer for #RedWednesday (20 Nov)
Loving God, we pray for all people around the world who are taking part in Red Wednesday in any way. We pray for all the parishes, schools and individuals who are taking time to pray, fundraise and take action. We pray for all those around the world who suffer discrimination and persecution for their faith.
May we ask for the strength to build Your Kingdom here on earth. Let us make a place where all are welcome, and all are free to practice their faith in peace.
We make our prayer through Christ our Lord, Amen.

God of blessings,
the universe sings of your glory.
Deepen our gratitude for all you have made
and awaken in us a renewed commitment
to care for the earth and each other.
Inspire world leaders at COP29,
with openness to listen to those most affected by climate change
and with courage to act urgently and wisely,
so that our common home may be healed and restored
and all people, and generations to come, may delight in it.
Amen.
