Liskeard : ABC Babies and Toddler Group

ABC at St Martin’s Church Liskeard is our informal babies and toddler group which takes place every Tuesday during term time.  There are two sessions: one in the morning at 9.30am and one in the afternoon at 1pm.  Each session lasts for 2 hours but you are welcome arrive later or leave earlier if you need to.

Parents, relatives and guardians are able to enjoy a break from the daily grind  whilst the children are let loose to play.  There are plenty of colourful toys for the children to play with as well as a book corner, dressing up cupboard and a soft play area.  Activities include a variety of action songs, with one of the grown-ups’ favourites being “See the little bunnies sleeping” (peace and quiet descends for almost 30 seconds when the children all lay on the floor before they are all hopping around again!). Each week there is a craft activity and children proudly go home with their masterpieces. 

Adults are welcome to help themselves to tea, coffee and biscuits while juice and biscuits are provided for the children by our volunteers .  There is a warm family atmosphere and many friendships have been forged here – for both children and grown-ups!
