St Austell Conference Centre, Business Park, PL25 4FD

Transformation Cornwall, the Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN), the Trussell Trust and Cornwall Council will be hosting an in-person discussion session on Wednesday 24th January. This follows the publication of a joint report in August 2023 stemming from our joint discussion forum in St Austell in June. The winter of 2023-24 looks set to be particularly challenging as more and more people struggle to afford the essentials and frontline organisations face unprecedented challenges to meet demand.

At a time when more and more people will inevitably be facing financial hardship, the aim of this event is to continue our critical dialogue on how to best to provide cash first or income-focused support. There will opportunities for attendees to ask questions of Cornwall Council representatives. Discussion topics will include:

  • Keeping the momentum of our shared work
  • Information sharing between organisations – navigating GDPR and using data sharing to improve access to cash first support
  • Collaborative working including improving referral pathways and mapping support
  • Using our collective power to create change both at a national and local level
