Here in the UK, we are nearing the end of the vaccine programme, with a lot of people having received their first dose. However, this is not reflected on a global scale. G7 countries have purchased a third of all vaccine supplies, despite only being 13% of the global population. Vaccine inequality is no new thing, however the unequal global distribution of the covid-19 vaccine has only highlighted the problem further.
