Would you like to help your children have a vibrant, two-way relationship with God? Come along to these sessions and get equipped with five Key Tools that ordinary parents can use in everyday life, to help them do that. Based on the book Parenting Children for a Life of Faith by Rachel Turner, the course will help parents discover that they are perfectly positioned to show their children the reality of a life with God.
The course will run on Zoom on Monday nights, in two four-week blocks, that avoid half term holidays. They will be hosted by Emma Olorenshaw, children’s minister at St Peter’s Maidenhead, using video teaching from Rachel Turner and small group discussion.
There are two ways to sign up – as an individual (for £20) or churches can sign up to host their own group (for £50), and there are more details about those options below.
The sessions are suitable for anyone with children or teenagers in their life. All parents and carers are welcome including grandparents, godparents and extended family. We also welcome children’s, youth and family leaders and volunteers, whether you want to learn the tools to use in your children’s groups or are thinking about running this course for your church or community and want to try it out.
There are two options for signing up:
1. Sign up as a church or group and invite people you know to come on this journey with you – we will give you the Zoom code so you can invite as many people as you like from your group or church. You can either meet physically, online or a combination, we will support you doing either.
For the small group times, you will have a breakout room specifically for your church or group. There will be a short information session for church hosts on Monday 19 September to explain how it will all work.
2. Sign up as an individual and we will connect you with others with children at a similar age and stage for online community and support. You will be in the same group each week, so you’ll get to know each other.
