Mid-Cornwall Climate and Eco Hub Grand Opening : 30 Sep, Truro

September 30, 2023 | 10:00 am 4:00 pm
36a, St. Austell Street, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 1SE

We are delighted to announce the Grand Opening of the Mid-Cornwall Climate and Eco Hub:       Saturday, 30th September, 2023, 10.00-4.00 at 36a, St. Austell Street, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 1SE

You are warmly welcome to come along and learn more about our exciting plans for bringing the community, environmental groups, our parish, town and county councils and local businesses together, to work towards creating local solutions to the impact of the Climate, Nature, Energy and Cost of Living Crises.

As well as the wide-ranging programme you can see on our poster, there will be opportunities to have a chat with us and other interested people and to ask any burning questions you may have on the topics we are considering. We will also be inviting you to add your thoughts to our interactive charts and display panels.

With your active involvement we will ensure the future growth of the Hub and this will enable us all to make positive steps towards achieving sustainability through: local, community renewable energy schemes, naturally fertile soil and food production, clean rivers and seas, enriched wetlands and moorland habitats, and much more besides.

It is our hope that The Hub will become a rich resource of shared skills, know-how and friendship. We are planning to have regular opening times throughout the Autumn and Winter with a range of workshops, talks, films and hands-on making etc that will steadily build as people from across our Mid-Cornwall Community become directly involved in working with us. We are also planning to run regular Climate Café events, clothes, toy and seed swaps, and would love it if you have other ideas that you would like to share with us.  Please add your ideas to the chart at The Hub on 30th September

We seek to bring the Community together to protect and restore our threatened and damaged ecosystems, essential in supporting and sustaining all Life. In so doing, we aim to address the issues that face us in these turbulent times and to ensure a positive future for generations to come, in which the people of Mid-Cornwall can flourish and take great pride.

Please join us on 30th September, 2023 to discover our deeper vision and become a part of this journey.

All Best Wishes,

Jackie Dash, Marcelle Coburn and Jackie Walkden 🌿💙🌿

We will be offering savoury snacks, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the Open Day.

We are registered as a ‘not for profit’ Community Interest Company and have yet to secure sources of funding. In the meantime, we are entirely reliant upon donations and if you are able, we would welcome your kind generosity at our Opening Event.
