The Charity Commission has just updated its core guidance for faith charity trustees and this webinar, hosted by Strengthening Faith Institutions (SFI), and featuring senior representatives of the Charity Commission, will discuss the new guidance and look at key current issues for places of worship, including safeguarding and financial management.
During the webinar they will:
- highlight the core legal compliance areas identified by the faith guidance and how trustees can meet these requirements;
- signpost to additional areas of support for places of worship and faith charities, including from the Faith Charities Outreach team and SFI;
- look in greater depth at key issues of importance to places of worship and faith charities, including the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse investigation within religious organisations, the Charity Commission’s safeguarding expectations, financial resilience and financial controls in places of worship and faith charities.
