Hymns We Love – An Invitation : 14 Sep, ONLINE

Earlier today my wife and I began to hum the same worship song; before long I had picked up my guitar and we were worshipping the Lord together at the dining table. It wasn’t planned, it was just born from the desire to worship.

There are some out there, however, who find themselves on occasions humming a song of worship without any inkling of the God to whom it is addressed. Whether through memories of school or Sunday school, church or family worship, many older people—even those of no faith—still have hearts full of hymns but have never sung them to God himself. In his glowing endorsement of Pippa and Steve Cramer’s resource, Hymns We Love, Rico Tice says, “They have sung these hymns again and again but don’t necessarily understand the gospel they contain.”

The Church has left many jewels behind it with each passing generation as a legacy to Christians to come, some of the greatest of these treasures are hymns.

This month we invite you to hear from Pippa and Steve Cramer about how these Hymns might be used to invite older people to get to know God for the first time, learn once and for all about the gospel of grace, and experience it for themselves.

Don’t miss out!
