We are very excited about what the Lord has planned for CELEBRATE. Following our successful online conference in June, we are delighted that so many new people joined us on the CELEBRATE Facebook hub, for which we praise God.

We believe that the Lord is now calling us to share the vision of CELEBRATE with all who have joined our CELEBRATE family over the last few months. We also want to reconnect and remind our longstanding CELEBRATORS of our foundational values and so we are going Back to Basics!

We want to be a united people, in step with His plans, ready to follow wherever He takes us. You are invited to join us as we take a fresh look at the CELEBRATE Vision and Values and begin your own CELEBRATE story.

What Will it Look Like?

Launching online on Monday 21st September we will be going Back to Basics to explore the five values which encapsulate the CELEBRATE vision:

Baptism in the Holy Spirit; Family; Unity; Formation; Mission.

Together, we will be unpacking the values through a combination of powerful testimonies, reflective quotes, Music Mondays, inspirational CELEBRATE@home resources and much more.

To fully unpack these values, we will also be hosting five CELEBRATE Together evenings via Zoom which we hope you will be able to attend – we would love you to come to as many as you can. You will be joining your local Regional team to pray, worship and be inspired by a short presentation from a keynote speaker on each of the five CELEBRATE values. The opportunity for prayer ministry will also be available after.

Save the Dates!

  • Monday 5th October: Baptism in the Holy Spirit; The Power of a Personal Encounter
  • Monday 19th October: Family; How can we receive the Kingdom of God more like a child?
  • Monday 2nd November: Unity; The Importance of Unity for the Kingdom
  • Monday 16th November: Formation; The Call to Ever Deeper Discipleship

The Regional CELEBRATE teams are looking forward to hosting you on these evenings so that we can continue to journey together as a CELEBRATE family, growing in our love of God and learning what it means to be Spirit-filled disciples of Jesus today.

In this way, we will journey together as a CELEBRATE family, growing in our love of God and learning what it means to be a Spirit-filled disciple of Jesus today.

Speakers

Fr Antoine Coelho – Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Fr Antoine was ordained priest in Rome in December 2008. Two years later he received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in a retreat ran by Miles Dempsey. From that moment on he started developing a healing ministry in France. In 2014 he entered Cor et Lumen Christi community in Chertsey where he stayed for two years. Coming back to France in 2017 he started Holy Spirit House Fraternity in the diocese of Toulon.

Claire Fernandes – Family

Claire works in a number of roles in education and children’s ministry including teacher training, resource writing, tutoring, leading children’s liturgy and ministry and providing children’s catechesis.

CELEBRATE children’s ministry is very close to her heart, and she is passionate about helping children develop in their faith. During lockdown, she has enjoyed walking in the beautiful Surrey countryside with her family.

Yinka Oyekan – Unity

Senior minister of The Gate in Reading, Yinka is also the Apostolic Team Leader for Barnabas Fellowship of Churches whose vision is ‘Building Kingdom churches developing Kingdom relationships’. Barnabas has churches in the UK, France & Africa. Yinka has been involved in Church planting for many years in the UK, France & Africa. He has written several books and manuals. Yinka is currently the President of the Baptist Union of Great Britain (2020-2021).

In 2016 The Gate held what they thought would be a small evangelistic mission but during this Father imparted a grace and anointing which Yinka and his team have been taking across the UK and into nations.  Yinka is married to Fiona and they have three sons.

Gemma Wildsmith – Formation

Gemma has a background in youth ministry and young adult formation. She has led streams at CELEBRATE Ilfracombe as well as at some of the regional weekends. She now lives as a missionary, relying on God’s providence, and working with various projects across Charismatic Renewal, as well as offering Spiritual Direction and studying for a masters degree in Theology. She has a passion for evangelisation and discipleship, and loves the privilege of walking alongside people in their journey of faith. She also loves beautiful sunsets, good coffee, and reading lots of books.

Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow OBE – Mission

Magnus is the founder and Chief Executive of Mary’s Meals, a global charity that provides a daily meal in a place of education to more than 1.6 million of the world’s poorest children every school day. The promise of a meal attracts children to the classroom, where they gain a basic education that can provide an escape route from poverty. Starting out by providing meals to just 200 children in southern Malawi in 2002, the charity now works in partnership with communities in 19 countries and serves life-changing meals to more than 1.6 million children every school day. The cost of feeding a child for a whole school year with Mary’s Meals is just £15.90 (21.00 USD / 18.30 EUR).

Please join us in prayer for this campaign

Heavenly Father, we pray for the work of CELEBRATE and all the ways it tries to reach out to people and bring them into a deeper understanding of Your love. Please send Your Holy Spirit upon all those involved with CELEBRATE, and all those who will see our social media content, to be empowered to live an authentic Christian life today, and help build God’s Kingdom on earth.  We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen
