HeartEdge have shared a new video showcasing how churches in Cardinham, on the edge of Bodmin Moor, are responding to rural isolation.
“Cardinham on the edge of Bodmin Moor is a spread-out community in a beautiful setting. But the rural idyll is double-sided. It can prove to be a very isolated place to live – especially if you lose access to your car because of health or ageing or not being to afford the repairs to get the MOT.
Churches in Cardinham came together to tackle this isolation by setting up a transport scheme helping people get to hospital and medical appointments and by creating opportunities for people to gather and benefit from socialising together.”
