Michael Hardie, Community Partnerships Manager of the Leprosy Mission Great Britain writes…
“This September, I’m delighted to be visiting Cornwall from the 20th to the 29th to represent The Leprosy Mission. During my time, I’ll be connecting with churches, Schools, and Community groups to share inspiring stories of transformation and hope from some of the world’s most marginalised communities, including my own upbringing on a leprosy colony deep in the jungle of the Congo.
Leprosy is not a disease of the past. Over 200,000 people are diagnosed each year—many more remain hidden due to stigma and lack of access to healthcare. The Leprosy Mission works to cure, care for, and restore dignity to those affected, and the UK church plays a vital role in that mission.
If your church or group would like to hear more about this life-changing work, please do get in touch. I’d love to visit, speak, or simply have a conversation over a coffee.
Together, we can be part of God’s healing story—bringing hope where it’s needed most.
