On Friday, 27 February 2026, leaders from across the UK’s Christian landscape will gather at Central Hall Westminster for the ChurchWorks Summit – a unique opportunity for churches, charities, policymakers, and public services to explore how working together can strengthen communities at a time of increasing social need. With rising levels of poverty, growing pressures on families, and escalating wellbeing challenges, the Summit offers space for practical learning, shared insight, and meaningful partnership.

Hosted by Justin Brierley and Swarzy Macaly, the Summit brings together a diverse range of speakers whose experience spans church leadership, national policy, and frontline community support. Confirmed contributors include Sir Stephen Timms MP (Minister for Social Security), Bishop Mike Royal (Churches Together in England), Stewart McCulloch (Christians Against Poverty), Olivia Amartey (Elim Pentecostal Church) and Pastor Yinka Oyekan (Baptist Union), with more to be announced. Their varied perspectives reflect the broad commitment of Christian organisations and public partners to work collaboratively for the common good.
The event is designed for church leaders, charity practitioners, public sector colleagues, policymakers, and Christians involved in community work who want to build connections and develop practical responses to today’s most urgent social issues. Throughout the day, attendees will take part in keynote discussions, interactive workshops, and peer learning focused on topics such as:
- Faith in public life and how it informs social action
- Promoting wellbeing and tackling poverty in local communities
- Supporting vulnerable children and families through joined-up working
- Strengthening partnerships between churches and public services
Whether you are leading a congregation, shaping policy, coordinating community projects, or exploring how faith and public life can work more closely together, the ChurchWorks Summit offers fresh insight, inspiring examples, and opportunities to collaborate with others who share a passion for positive change.
