Effective ways to reach those wishing to explore Christianity and welcome them into church communities
EVIDENCE IS MOUNTING THAT GOD is doing something new in the UK. Four independent pieces of research have indicated that millions more people are attending church and many of these are coming to faith for the first time.
This webinar, held in partnership with the College of Archbishops’ Evangelists, will examine how we can best respond to this moment of opportunity. We will examine how to reach out effectively to those now wishing to explore Christianity and welcome them into church communities where they can grow in faith and use their energies to make a difference.
We will examine ‘Finding Jesus’, a new study carried out by researchers from the University of Durham, due out on 3 June, which analyses the stories of almost three hundred adults who have come to faith in the last five years and uses the findings to suggest how we should adapt our approach to mission and evangelism. We will also draw upon the experience of churches which are enabling young adults to flourish.
Speakers will include Dr Rhiannon McAleer, Director of Research and Impact at Bible Society, Dr Belle Tindall of the Centre for Cultural Witness and Seen & Unseen website, and Phil Knox, who specialises in evangelism and missiology at the Evangelical Alliance.
This webinar will be held on Wednesday 9 July at 1.30pm.
