There was great excitement when it came to judging this years’ Bishops’ Christmas Card Competition as there were around 500 fabulous entries from our church schools.
The winning picture was created by Evie (7) from Archbishop Benson school and was chosen as the overall winner for its beautiful sparkly angel with a group of shepherds watching their fluffy flock. Also chosen by Bishop Philip was a painting of angels by Jack (5) from St Issey school and Bishop Hugh chose a Mondrian angel and stable design by Oscar (yr 4) from Duloe school. Cody (9) from St Mary’s school in Penzance created a colourful angel shining in glory over a shepherd and his sheep which Katie Fitzsimmons loved.
All designs have been made into cards to be sent out this Christmas and all children have received book tokens and certificates. Winning schools received Amazon vouchers.
