Y7 Cornwall : new website

,

Cornwall Council has launched a new website to help inspire the next generation ahead of the G7 in June.

www.y7cornwall.co.uk features information for young people about how they can get involved with events that run alongside the G7 summit, and some of the events taking place in schools across Cornwall.

It will also become a focal point for a new annual conference where Cornwall councillors will meet and listen to the voices and concerns of young people.

The website was developed with the help of a team of teenage web editors, who will keep specific pages and school blogs updated.

Senior Education Officer Rachel Delourne said: “We have a once in a lifetime opportunity with the G7 coming to Cornwall and we want to put the voices of children front and centre.

“Y7Cornwall has been designed to be a focal point for all young people and Cornish teachers.  We have fantastic learning resources, powerful videos and lots of ways that young people can get involved.
