This post will support the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) in delivering a service across the diocese, as part of the Safeguarding Team.
We are looking for someone who is keen to use his or her skills, knowledge and experience in safeguarding, within this unique setting. Good communication skills and approachability are a must.
The ADSA will be a key member of our small safeguarding team promoting best practice in all matters relating to safeguarding in the diocese. This will include supporting parishes, clergy, and Cathedral staff. The ADSA will have a portfolio of casework and will support the delivery of the safeguarding training framework.
This is an interesting opportunity for the right person who has a social work, police, health or other relevant safeguarding background, to grow and develop in a complex, challenging and undoubtedly rewarding work environment.
