Used Books available free

Suez recycling and recovery UK, who operate the Household Waste and Recycling Centres on behalf of Cornwall Council, are looking into different avenues to allow items to be reused before sending them on to be recycled. As a result, we have started to collect unwanted and donated books at our sites.

A large number of books (approx. 5-8 tonnes) are being stored at our site at Dudnance Lane near Redruth and would like to offer the opportunity for you to use in any (or all) of your charity shop(s).

You are invited to come and collect some boxes of books so that they can be diverted from recycling and can find a second life. If you cannot make it to our site then please let me know and I may be able to arrange a delivery (dependent on location).

There is a variety of book types and genres and these are typically stored on our sites in either 1x1x1m plastic boxes or 40x40x40cm cardboard boxes. Unfortunately I can’t guarantee the quality on all the books but the vast majority should be clean, dry and readable!

If you are interested then please get in touch via this email or give me a call on my number below.

Alternatively, if you know any organisations that are looking for reusable books then please do let me know.
