The Days of Light summer road trip : 26 Jul-20 Aug

,

Hello, So What? Network

I’m really excited to be sending you this email and inviting you along to be ‘team’ on an amazing bus to bring the good and great news of Jesus to many locals and holiday makers in Cornwall this summer.

Wave House Church in Newquay have transformed a Leyland Atlantean double decker bus, with a mobile skate ramp.  The vision is to serve the wider body of Christ by using these resources to facilitate outreach opportunities.  Wave House writes:

After what has been a really tough year for so many people, we are sensing that this is the opportune time to take the bus out on to the roads in Cornwall for a summer outreach called “The Days of Light summer road trip”

The bus will be taken to 5 locations in Cornwall spending 3 days in each location.

Newquay – 26th – 28th July

Creation Fest – 30th – 1st August

Perranporth – 3rd – 5th August (serving alongside the Perranporth Beach Mission)

St Austell – 10th  – 12th August

St Ives – 18th– 20th August

The exciting bit is that there will be a children’s/families tent alongside the bus, and this is where you come in!

We are building team for each of the locations to come alongside children and families and through activities, conversation and prayer to bring and share the good news of Jesus and see the Kingdom of God being released and realised.

The aim is to open the bus and the children and families tent for 2 sessions each day: 12:00pm – 3:30pm and 6pm-9.30pm where the focus will be Worship, Prayer and Evangelism for all!  Please see flyer attached.

Whilst planning, Liz (from Wave House Church, Newquay)  and I were reminded of Acts 16, where households hearing the word of God, believed and were baptised!  This is our God given dream for all families in Cornwall and holiday makers.

The theme in our tent will be ‘Amazing You’.

Our tent will be packed with loads and loads of activity, chatting, laughter, fun and Jesus.  There will be craft, challenges, prayer, bubble blowing, hair braiding, pebble painting and more!

Through the activities and conversation, children and families will discover, they are amazing and wonderfully made, unique, loved, part of God’s family, God has a plan for everyone, He is the perfect creator, gives strength for each day, being a superhero, how and why Jesus wants to be a friend and connect in prayer.

On the final evening at each location, we will be having a celebration of worship and testimony for all ages together.  We would really like to have someone making massive, huge bubbles!  If you know anyone who has this gift, please can you let me know, thanks.

It would be great to have you on the team, please prayerfully consider if you are able to commit to any of the locations and what sessions.  (12pm – 3.30 and 6pm – 9.30pm).   If you want to join in the fun, please email me at children@citylifechurch.co.uk and I will send you further information about joining the team.

No experience or skills are essential, just a love for Jesus and a desire for children and families to hear and encounter the Gospel.  (Proof of your church DBS will be required)

From 24th June, if you are in the Newquay area, please join us to pray on a Thursday at Wave House Church for the children’s and families who we will have the pleasure of meeting and sharing the good news of Jesus with on the Days of Light road trip, and for all the practical bits!  9.45am for coffee, finishing at 10.45am.

If you would like to chat more, please send me an email or give me a call on 07957574399.

There’s a very exciting summer ahead as many will hear, respond and encounter Jesus, lives will be transformed.

Bless you loads, you are amazing!
