St Austell Foodbank Harvest Appeal

Many thanks for all that your church continues to help us here at the Foodbank, it is much appreciated.

Unfortunately, the number of people in our local community who require emergency food are still incredibly high. During 2025 so far, we have provided 1044 emergency food parcels to people who can’t afford the essentials – Your support is vital to ensure that we can continue to provide our services.

We believe that churches are vital partners in our current operations and in achieving our goal of a UK where everyone can afford life’s essentials – and foodbanks can close their doors for good. Therefore this harvest, we are inviting you to use our harvest resource with your congregation. It contains suggestions of numerous activities through which you can creatively food raise, while considering the issues of hunger and justice in your local community and across the UK.

The back page of this resource can also be torn off and displayed in your church, to encourage people to donate during Harvest (our current urgent shortages are: Long Life Fruit Juice, Coffee, Jam, Tinned Fruit, Tinned Potatoes and Tinned Custard).

If you would like more information on the work of the Foodbank and how you and your congregation might be able to partner with us more closely, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you would like more resources to explore justice and poverty, as well as encouraging your congregation to support our work as a foodbank, then please visit trussell.org.uk/support-us/churches

Thank you again for all that you do to support us.
