Details of Ministry
Travel across Europe – there and back in 2 months!
You’ll start with 5 days of team building, training, planning and preparation in the UK, and then head off to major cities in Europe with an Interrail pass, sharing about your Jesus-follower life and faith on the way! While stopping at some OM locations you’ll see and hear about the ways they are sharing the gospel, and being a blessing to their communities. You’ll likely be involved in ministry with the OM teams you visit, such as practical work, youth groups, street ministry, refugee ministry and personal evangelism.
After 3 weeks travelling you’ll spend 5 days debriefing, resting and receiving further training, and then you will return to the UK via other OM offices and major cities on Interrail routes.
You’ll conclude with evaluation and debrief.
This outreach consists of 4 elements of training and equipping throughout the journey:
- Pre-travel training
- On the journey Training
- Check Point Training at various stages of the journey with an OM leader
- Debriefing at the end of the journey
Participant Profile
You’re passionate about sharing your faith, meeting new people and travel!
Accommodation
A mix of hostels, dorms and church floors. Married couples may not have a double bed, or privacy.
Food
Some meals will be provided at OM bases. Some you’ll create en route. Vegetarian options are usually possible, but food intolerances and allergies might be difficult.
Travel
You’ll need to travel to and from an OM UK base on the arrival and departure dates above. More details will follow.
Health
You should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances without difficulty.
Notes
Individuals applying must be 18 or over.
Married couples are welcome to apply if they are ok to sleep in separate rooms sometimes.
