Period of Mourning at the Cathedral for her late Majesty the Queen

Please join Truro Cathedral as we enter this period of mourning for her late Majesty the Queen. This page will be updated regularly as details of services and other activities are confirmed. Please note that some events during this time have been cancelled.

The cathedral will be open between 8am and 8pm each day during this period. Please note the restaurant and shop will be closed throughout the mourning period.  The Common Grounds coffee shop situated on the cathedral green will remain open.

Floral Tributes can be placed on Truro Cathedral Green, stewards will be available on hand to guide you. The flowers will eventually be composted. Please remove any cellophane or plastic first before laying them on the green.

A book of condolence is available for visitors to sign in the cathedral. There is also a digital book of condolence on the Royal Family website, as well as another on the Church of England website.

Pricket stands to light a candle are situated throughout the cathedral.

The cathedral Canons and Chaplains are available on the cathedral floor should you wish to talk.

Regular services such as Holy Communion and Evening and Morning Prayer will continue and will include special prayers. Please visit the services page for more information
