The Foodbank provides food for those in financial crisis (singles and families). Donations of cash is used to purchase fresh fruit & vegetables and dairy (cheese, eggs, etc). We try to provide sufficient supply of fresh as well as dried / tinned goods to last 7 days. We also provide toiletries and cleaning essentials where possible.
People can access this service by being referred by one of many agencies ( such as social services, G.Ps, health workers, schools, YMCA, CAB and Job Centre, and many other support services).
CTIPA foodbank based in Penzance covers a large area of West Penwith – as far as Sennen, St Just and Pendeen, Goldsithney, St Buryan areas as well as Penzance and Newlyn.
